IBM Lotus Domino Anti-Virus Software

Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for IBM Lotus Domino provides antivirus protection for users of the IBM Lotus Domino server on large corporate networks with complex topologies and heavy loads.

Antivirus scanning of all IBM Lotus Domino objects

Antivirus scanning of mail traffic. The application scans message bodies and attachments (including compressed and archived attachments) for viruses and other types of malicious programs (adware, spyware). Additionally, the administrator can launch on-demand scanning of all files stored on the server.

Scanning of databases and other objects. The application provides antivirus scanning not only of emails, but also all other IBM Lotus Domino objects, including databases, traffic sent between Lotus Domino servers during replication (cluster or distributed configurations only), IBM Lotus Domino scripts and OLE objects.

Real time monitoring of protection status. The administrator can be alerted if an infected message is detected, making it possible to continually monitor the status of antivirus protection and respond without delay to any events requiring attention.

A choice of processing options for infected objects. If an infected object is detected, it can be cured, deleted or delivered to the recipient without any changes made to it, depending on the application’s settings. The program can be configured to save backup copies of infected objects prior to processing, making it possible to restore them in the event of processing errors or problems.

Isolation of infected and suspicious objects. All information on antivirus scan results is saved on the computer’s hard drive. Infected, damaged and suspicious objects detected during scans and moved to a quarantine folder can be viewed or deleted by the administrator.

Additional control over mail traffic

Filtering of messages based on formal attributes. The application can be configured to automatically block delivery of certain categories of emails: emails that contain attachments of certain types of attachments (e.g., executable files), exceed the size limit set by the administrator or contain banned object types.

Virus outbreak prevention. To prevent virus outbreaks, Kaspersky Anti-Virus for IBM Lotus Domino can stop the receipt or sending of email, if the sending/receipt frequency exceeds a value specified by the administrator.

Administration

Ease of management. Kaspersky Anti-Virus for IBM Lotus Domino can be configured and managed either locally or remotely via the IBM lotus Domino interface. The administrator can control several copies of the product installed on different servers from one workstation.

Automatic updates to antivirus databases. The antivirus databases can be updated manually or automatically (on schedule) from Kaspersky Lab’s Internet servers, or from specified computers on the local network. Database integrity is verified during updates, with the option of rolling back to a previous version of a database.

Scalability. The application supports cluster servers, networks with distributed configurations and virtual servers. Furthermore, to ensure successful performance on networks with heavy loads, it is possible to launch several copies of the antivirus engine.

Versatile reporting system. The application can prepare a variety of statistical reports on antivirus protection status and infected objects detected in mail traffic. The administrator can configure the frequency and time of reporting.
